As you are aware, Maxicare Healthcare Corporation (Maxicare) and MediLink Network, Inc. (MediLink) have phased out crediting of medical claims reimbursements on the Maxicare Multifunction Card and MediLink XP Card.
Please take note of the following updates:
- Reimbursements are no longer credited to your Cards since July 2025. These are being transferred directly into your nominated bank account.
- Maxicare will phase out the MaxiHealth+ App and e-Wallet feature by end of 2025.
- EqB will also phase out the withdrawal feature of your Maxicare Multifunction Card and MediLink XP Card effective February 1, 2026.
- In the meantime, you can continue to view your balances at any ATM and the e-Wallet and withdraw funds via ATM, make POS purchases, or transfer funds through the e-Wallet.
- You may open an account with EqB using your available balance on your Maxicare Multifunction Card or MediLink XP Card by visiting any of the EqB branches. We recommend exploring our ATM Savings Account.
- EqB updated Terms and Conditions to include the new fee and charges related to the phase out of your Card’s withdrawal feature and e-Wallet. Changes will take effect on February 1, 2026.
- Your Maxicare Multifunction Card and MediLink XP Card will continue to serve as your HMO card and your benefits and services can still be availed without any interruption.
