The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) recently announced the increase in the Maximum Deposit Insurance Coverage (MDIC) from P500,000 to P1 Million per depositor, per bank starting March 15, 2025.
This increase aims to enhance depositor protection and boost confidence in the banking system. This marks the first adjustment since 2009 when the MDIC was raised from P250,000 to P500,000.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) recently unveiled the First Philippine Polymer (FPP) banknote series. These new polymer banknotes, available in denominations of P1,000, P500, P100, and P50, have already entered circulation as of January 2025 and can be used for payment alongside the traditional paper banknotes.
The FPP banknote series showcase smarter, cleaner, and stronger characteristics compared to their paper counterparts.

Pursuant to Circular Letter No. 2019-038 to CL-2020-028 of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP), the week of June 30 – July 6, 2019 is Savings Consciousness Week.
The theme of this year’s celebration is “Sa pag-iimpok, may asenso; maginhawang kinabukasan sigurado."

Equitable Foundation, Inc., a non-stock non-profit organization and a proud member of the Equicom Group, officially turned over 40 brand new desktop computers and accessories to National Teachers College (NTC). This is in line with the thrust to advance information technology in the said institution.
Likewise, two (2) NTC qualified students received full scholarship grants under the Go Kim Pah scholarship program last year. Consistently, the foundation has been supportive of programs that promotes expertise in the same field.
Held on April 20, 2016 at the NTC, the ceremonial turnover was witnessed by Equicom Group chairman Antonio L. Go and NTC president Priscilla Y. Arguelles.
The NTC computer room has been named in honor of the foundation and is now called the Equitable Foundation Computer Laboratory.

The Equitable Foundation, Inc., a non-stock, non-profit corporation and member of the Equicom Group, has partnered with National Teacher’s College (NTC) to support students pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy. Starting from the 2015 – 2016 school year, qualified students will be beneficiaries of the Go Kim Pah Scholarship Program that will pay for their education starting with their freshman year until their graduation. The partnership was formalized through a signing ceremony held during NTC’s 87th founding Anniversary.
